Now 19, Arif was named the Young Sales Professional of the Year at the 2008 British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards after his work brought in clients which generated more than a quarter of a million pounds in recruitment fees.

Through his drive, competitive edge and passion for RC fuel-powered racing cars, before leaving secondary school, he had already worked for some of the world’s global super brands including Mercedes-Benz and GlaxoSmithKline.

With an absolute focus on building a career in sales he approached central London based sales recruitment firm, Certus Sales, who subsequently offered him a position as a trainee recruiter at 16.

After having spent eighteen months at Certus, having delivered results far beyond company expectations he was featured in various newspapers including the The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph and The Eastern Eye for achieving excellence.

Through attending seminars, recruitment, reading plenty of books, surrounding himself with advanced sales people, sales training, and summer jobs, he has pioneered his own way of selling and currently spends his time helping under performing companies transform the way they sell to optimize results. In addition to consulting he also offers mentorship to young people who want to aspire to become world-class sales professionals.

Arif is part of the icould Youthboard whose aim is to inspire and encourage individuals from all walks of life to act positively, creatively and with optimism.

As a student and associate member of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management he ensures his own actions reflect industry “best practice”, ethical standards and strives to act with integrity at all times.
